Looking for the Sandustry wiki, the official Discord, or the rest of the game's community? Every link below was verified against the official link list maintained on r/SandustryGame, so what's marked official here actually is. This page is the map; the individual guides elsewhere on this site are the territory.
The Sandustry Wiki: Which One Is Official?
There are two Sandustry wikis, and one of them calls itself official without being listed as such by the developer. The distinction matters if you're citing facts:
- The official wiki is hosted by publisher Hooded Horse: wiki.hoodedhorse.com/Sandustry. It appears in the community's official links list, and it's where the documented mechanics live - materials (the index grew to roughly fifty entries around launch), buildings, research tiers, the beginner's guide, and the flow charts and density tables our mechanics pages cite.
- sandustry.wiki.gg is a community wiki that brands itself "Official Sandustry Wiki" but is not in the official links list. It's still useful - it's often updated quickly - but treat it as a community source, the same way you'd treat a good Reddit post: usually right, occasionally ahead of the official record, never the final word.
One more trap to skip entirely: third-party sites like sandustry.cc that present themselves as "Sandustry Online". They have no connection to the developer. The multiplayer guide explains what that's about.
Sandustry Official Discord
The Discord is the game's real-time center: discord.gg/HJNk5eMnmt. The invitation comes straight from the developer's pinned Steam post, and the server is where launch-week patch announcements landed first. It matters most for three rooms: #modding, whose pinned messages carry the current modloader install guide (see the mods guide for why that's the source of truth), the announcement channels for updates like v0.5.4, and bug reports - which the developer actually reads, as solo-dev Discords go.
Sandustry Social & Video
- Reddit - r/SandustryGame. The de facto town square: patch threads, the official link list, factory screenshots, and the fastest answer to any "how does X work" question.
- YouTube - @sandustry, the official channel for trailers and update videos.
- X / Twitter - @lanttogames, the developer's account.
- Bluesky - lantto.bsky.social.
- Official site - sandustry.com, the hub that links every store and channel above.
Sandustry Community Tools
- Feedback & voting - sandustry.nolt.io. The developer explicitly asked for feature requests here rather than scattered across threads, because community votes help set priorities. If you want something in the game, this is the lever.
- Blueprint sharing - Sandustry Vault, a community site for sharing in-game blueprint strings. Unofficial, but community-recognized.
- Official Beginner's Guide - on Steam Guides, same content as the official wiki's beginner guide, in the Steam client. Our beginner guide is built on the same document.
- Fluxloader - fluxloader.app, the community mod loader's site. Start from the mods guide rather than installing blind.
Sandustry Official Stores
- Steam - store.steampowered.com/app/2764460, the main page with reviews, Workshop and the demo.
- GOG - gog.com/en/game/sandustry, DRM-free, on sale since launch week.
- Microsoft Store - the Xbox store product page, also the PC Game Pass entry point (see the Game Pass guide).
- itch.io - lanttogames.itch.io/sandustry, the developer's page hosting the free browser demo and the full devlog history.
Report Bugs & Issues for Sandustry
The official channels for problems: the Discord's bug report channels for fast triage, the Steam discussion threads (crash and lag fixes, save file location), and localization feedback through Hooded Horse's feedback page. Two launch-week realities worth knowing: the developer is actively working through crash reports - patch notes for v0.5.3 and v0.5.4 both mention them - and feature requests belong on Nolt, not the bug channels.
How We Verify Sandustry Links
Method, so you can redo it yourself: the r/SandustryGame official links list names the official wiki, Discord, socials and feedback board, and the developer's pinned Steam post independently confirms the Discord invite. Anything not in those two sources - including the wiki.gg site and this site you're reading - is community-run. We're a fan wiki too: independent, not affiliated with or endorsed by Lantto Games or Hooded Horse. Our job is organizing what the official sources say into guides; the links above are where the ground truth lives.
